After attending an intensive program of training focused exclusively on how to be a successful Personal Chef, Chef Sandy opened Dinners on Demand Personal Chef Service in 2000 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Chef Sandy went on to create the the first professional chapter for Personal Chefs in the Coastal Bend, and continued to serve as President until her subsequent move to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. While in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Chef Sandy had the opportunity to serve as a referral resource to the clients at the world-renowned Cooper Clinic, worked with the Tarrant Area Food Bank as a volunteer chef-instructor, sat on the board of directors for the Wise County Committee on Aging, specifically for the Meals on Wheels program, and was proud to be asked to share her knowledge of the industry as a guest instructor at a national conference for her fellow Personal Chefs, held in New Orleans, LA. Chef Sandy’s original recipes and articles have been published in a variety of national and local publications and cookbooks. Chef Sandy holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Healthcare and is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, enabling her to have a greater understanding of how various factors including; digestive issues, stress and lifestyle choices, can impact her client’s overall health.
Currently a proud resident of Niceville, FL, Chef Sandy was born and raised in Alaska and has lived overseas, as well as in the American Midwest and Texas. Chef Sandy brings her intimate knowledge of these regional cuisines, as well as the extensive and invaluable experience gained from working with a multitude of clients throughout her 16+ year career as a personal chef, to every client cook-day! As a dedicated culinary professional and properly licensed business owner, Chef Sandy finds it important to invest in her client’s peace of mind whenever possible, and as such Chef Sandy maintains full insurance and is fully versed in Florida food and safety guidelines.
